Send email notifications to admins as well as the team member

This issue needs design work. If voting, please also answer the following questions:
- What business problem does this solve for you?
- What types of email notifications would the admin want to listen to? For example:
- Events for a specific event type
- All events on a booking page
- All events for all team members

Currently, we cannot check the confirmation emails we have sent out.
For example, we customize a unique door access code for each booking before approving it and include it in the confirmation template. This means every confirmation email received for a booking is different. This makes it impossible for us to double-check whether the approved password is correct or if there was any omission in filling it out.
Suggestions:
- Add a "copy of email sent to" option in the Event settings.
- In the calendar event history, below all the emails sent out, when pressing the history section, it should pop up a preview of the sent emails.

This feature would be helpful for a sales team that tracks leads in a CRM. This would give our sales managers a way to manage these leads more effectively and ensure the information provided by the customers is tracked properly.
Just being cc'ed on the confirmation e-mails for all event types would be helpful, though filtering it by event type would also be useful.

Hi there,
I'm setting this issue's status back to "open" since it seems like:
- It doesn't seem like a priority for existing users
- It needs more feedback (and votes!) from our current customers
We'll revisit in the future once these two points are addressed.

Hi folks, I've been thinking about how this feature is going to work, and I could use some more feedback.
Questions:
- What business problem does this solve for you?
- What types of email notifications would the admin want to listen to? For example:
- Events for a specific event type
- All events on a booking page
- All events for all team members

Chris Tan:
Thanks so much for looking at this feature request in depth.
Here's what I think I was thinking in making the original request and how we've used the feature in other software (it was a while back - trying to remember the use case!).
The business problem: Right now, as you say the email notifications go to the team member who was booked. At times, somebody else on the team may need to provide some kind of support for a specific event type and it would be great to be able to cc: them on the email notifications. That support person may or may not be the admin of the page.
We use this feature in Typeform, for instance. If we create a survey, we can choose to be notified of responses by email, and we can add a cc: to a team members' email (regardless of whether they have a user account with Typeform) so that each person can proceed with their part of the response procedure.
In this case - I would be suggesting that you can add a unique cc: to any event type (optionally). This sounds a little different than opting to cc: only the page admin. But I could see how that would be helpful...
So hypothetical use case: if someone books a specific appointment type with Tara - and I need to follow up with that person after they book - receiving a notification that they booked with her in my inbox would be my trigger to do my part. That feels more streamlined to me... I guess we could set up a zap for that too.
Hope that is helpful!

Tara McMullin: Thanks for the detailed comment. Appreciate it!

Chris Tan: In our case, we have two people on our account and both receive the same notifications by way of Gmail filter forwarding (not ideal). What I've done to get around this is to setup a filter in Gmail that automatically forwards the emails to the second person based on language we can expect to see in a given CozyCal template.
Hypothetically, we could also set this up for individual templates to forward to different persons, though the complications of adding many such filters has been a deterrent. It would be great to have a feature within CozyCal to add list of CC/BCC addresses. Even just a text field or user drop down to select from on the specific CozyCal form (maybe under a "Notifications" menu?) would definitely save us time and headache.

Benjamin Wright: Thanks for the feedback! Curious could you also answer the following?
Questions:
- What business problem does this solve for you? (e.g. to notify a personal assistant)
- What types of email notifications would the admin want to listen to? For example:
- Events for a specific event type
- All events on a booking page
- All events for all team members
P.S. Good idea for placing this feature within the notifications page. That would work well for event type level CCing.

I've changed this feature request to be more specific. An additional email notification to the admin of the booking page, as I think that's what most folks have been asking for.

Hey Kat - just wanted to drill down into this now that we're using the product for teams with multiple events! What we need ideally is to be able to specify team notifications for each event - as right now we're all getting notified about all the events.
Chris Tan
Shannon from What Works: Hey there, could you elaborate on this? Currently we send the email only to the team member that was booked.
Is it possible that you have a shared email address set up on your account that forwards it to your entire team?
E.g. hello@cozycal.com forwards to both Kat and myself

Chris Tan: Chris - I'm going to get back to you on this answer - we were running a free trial of Intercom and may have indeed had a weird forward/duplicate notifications situation going on. We've canceled the trial and that forward - so I'll see how things get back to you. But yes - we'd still like to have more control on an event level as to who gets notified - in case a team members is managing another team member's calendar. Thank you!
